I heard back from the computer guy who has my laptop.

The hard drive is damaged.
My files can't be recovered.

All of our pictures were on there.

I'm so sad right now...

Happy Anniversary!!! :boogie: :dance: :party: I really hope both Marisa and Jenna's computer are feeling much better soon! :) I just got my hard drive out of the repair shop yesterday. Lucky for me I could still get online at my office at the university, but it was really annoying not having the internet at home (especially on the weekend!).

awww *hugs* I am sorry. I just went through this earlier this week when my husbands computer died. All my stuff for 2007 was stored on there- family photos and artwork

Random thought that might help- did you at any point upload your stuff to photo bucket, webshots, myspace, fubar or any of other sites that allow you to put up photos? Can you go back and redownload a bunch of your pics from here on dev art?

I managed to get back about 2 thirds of my stuff after frantic searching of the net and all of my favorite sites- all I can say is thank god I am a pic ho who loves uploading the pics for family to see. Just a thought

Oy sorry about your data loss. But at least you have what you've posted here and it is an incentive to do new versions of older stuff you lost. Sometimes they turn out better than the original. I know tho... its like losing a limb... my sympathies.

And we really should be getting together to do a photo shoot soon, its just a matter of finding the time.

Plus, it taught me an important lesson: backup your files!
